Live: THE DEVIL (Rocknoll - NYC)

Formed in New York City in February of 2010, the Devil is here to make the most raw, primal, Blues-based Rock 'n Roll imaginable. Mixing The Stooges, Sabbath and 1920's Delta Blues into a screeching
industrialized noise. Taking songs like Blind Willie Johnson's traditional 1930's 'John the Revelator' and giving it a modern, monolithic thud! Jimmy Hendrix's classic live Filmore performance of 'Hear My Train a comin'' becomes at once recognizable yet new!
The Devil's original songs run the gamut from the slide guitar driven dub bass of 'BMF' inspired by a
Snoop Doog 'Behind the Music' and 'Pushin''s industrial crunch derives from DMX's 'Slippin'',
while 'Mankind' states the obvious with a Clash-like urgency.
The Band is currently in Berlin recording their debut album for Lo-Fi Record due out in 2012.
