Live: THE STATIC AGE

at the Restaurant

THE STATIC AGE
Emerging from the idealistic side of punk rock and inspired by the last 30 years of alternative music, The Static Age have evolved their own sound — one that infuses melody, atmosphere, and a pulsating back beat to bring forth an unmistakable urgency and honesty in their songs. The unique weave of beautifully weathered vocals, textured guitars, and keyboard washes all sitting atop the backdrop of punchy, chorus-drenched bass and a layer of tempered drums is resulting in an emotionally resonant and danceable collection of songs that sounds like nothing else before it.
The Static Age has toured extensively, covering the entire continental United States 15+ times as well as Canada and three tours in Europe. Past tourmates have included a wide range of bands — AFI, Tiger Army, Street Dogs, A Place to Bury Strangers, The Explosion, As Tall As Lions, Theo and the Skyscrapers, Paulson, Read Yellow, The Kinison, The Pale Pacific, Kane Hodder, Silent Drive, and others — and the band has been on numerious one-off or weekend tours with the likes of Interpol, The Bronx, Darker My Love, Hot Hot Heat, Thursday, Cave In, The Start, Junius, TREOS, and many more.
The Static Age has also drawn the creative energy of other artists as well as DJs. Remixers/collaborators have included Jade Puget (AFI), Dave Walsh (The Loved Ones/The Explosion), Ocelot (formerly Ocelot Mthrfckrs), Greek DJ Christian Cambas (responsible for multiple remixes, including the latest remix of “Already Dead” that opens his new album), and others.
